A campaign organised by the ladies at Teesdock in partnership with Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice is a great example of how a community can come together for a good cause.
The ‘Go Yellow’ project, created by the charity, is aimed to raise funds that will contribute towards providing palliative, respite, and end-of-life care to babies and infants up to the age of five.
The event, held from 26th to 30th June, included blind card games and copper collections, as well as the team donning Zoe’s Place t-shirts and dressing their building in a yellow-theme to raise awareness.
Mark Wilson, UK Logistics and Supply Chain Manager for ICL UK Sales says: “The effort put in by Olwyn Peters, Ruth Bowers, Donna Moore, Lyn Harris, and Finola Andelic is truly commendable, as they went above and beyond by making food and decorating the CSU Building here at Teesdock to raise awareness for the campaign, all whilst fulfilling their usual day to day activities. Their hard work and dedication resulted in raising £600 towards the cause.”
The impact of the event will be doubled as ICL has agreed to match the funds raised, resulting in a total of £1200 going towards this worthy cause. The organisers are grateful to everyone who attended and contributed, making a difference in the lives of babies and infants in need.
Teamwork makes the dream work
Olwyn Peters, Commercial Assistant for ICL UK Sales is grateful: “I’m so pleased with how well this was received, the teamwork here was absolutely amazing and I want to thank everyone who chipped in – it wouldn’t of been a success with out them.”
Congratulations to the Teesdock team for their wonderful job towards such a worthy cause. Their efforts will undoubtedly go a long way in improving the lives of babies and young children in the community.
