In Pictures: ICL’s CEO Raviv Zoller Visits ICL Boulby

“We have decided to be the world leader in polyhalite and we have everything we need to do that”.

That was the message from ICL’s President and Chief Executive Officer Raviv Zoller when he visited ICL Boulby recently to mark the completion of the transition from potash to becoming the world’s first and only producer of polyhalite.

Mr Zoller began his visit by going underground together with the General Manager Andrew Fulton and Noam Goldstein, President, ICL Potash Division, who has played a central role in supporting us through the transition process.

He then met with key local stakeholders and the media, making clear ICL’s commitment to making the transition a success, stressing that developing products using Boulby polyhalite was central to ICL’s fertiliser strategy.

Mr Zoller took the opportunity to praise the efforts of all the staff at the mine and the ICL research team developing new products using Boulby polyhalite — such as PotashpluS which he launched during his visit.

Underlining the importance of the new era for Boulby, Mr Zoller explained “This is just one more example of how we invest to grow our assets and to develop projects with a long-term, sustainable view. The Boulby Mine has been a part of the community here in East Cleveland since operations began in 1973 and we are committed to ensuring that it will play an important and supportive role to those communities for many years to come”.
