It’s not too soon for the Chr***mas word if it’s in aid of charity…

We’re always happy to give a helping hand to people who take on challenges in order to raise much needed funds for deserving charities.

It’s not just outsiders who like to roll their sleeves up and get involved, we’ve got plenty of big hearted get-stuck-inners here on site and at Teesdock.

In the spotlight this week are two of our own – Katie Robinson and Rob Taylor.

Katie is getting set to join in the Boundary 500 Santa Ride with her partner Antony. It’s a motorcycle event in aid of Zoe’s Place; a twenty-two-mile ride through Thornaby, Stockton, Middlesbrough, and Redcar before finishing at Kirkleatham Hall. With 160 bikes taking part it’s become quite a spectacle.

It usually raises in excess of twenty-five thousand pounds – so when Katie comes round with her begging bowl please be generous. There’s loads more info on Katie’s JustGiving page at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/katie-robinson44

Rob has volunteered to drive the support bus for this event which takes place on November 26th. He has need of any number of teddy bears and tinsel that you care to donate. He promises that the bears are all for Zoe’s Place and not for himself, and you can always find him at the security gate if you want to help out.

In case you want to enjoy watching the bike ride and give Katie and Rob a wave the full details of the route are at: https://santaride.boundary500.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/The-Route.jpg

Good luck to everyone who has signed up for this popular fundraising event – we hope the weather is kind.
