 ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System; certified since 2000

The environmental management system covers surface operations at Boulby Mine including the tailings facility, the outfall and the railway line which runs from the mine to nearby Carlin Howe.

Our EMS is a set of processes and practices that enables CPL to reduce its environmental impacts and increase its operating efficiency.

Compliance with environmental legislation is a principal commitment of CPL’s Environmental Policy.  The EMS ensures that the company has defined methods of identifying its legal requirements.
